If you see that the junk files are not taking up as much space as you thought, then you can try installing a storage analyzer app. The app will analyze your storage and tell you what is taking up so much space. Hopefully, it’s not something you need and can’t erase. A storage analyzing app that I would recommend would be DiskUsage. It’s one of the best in its field, at least in my opinion.

Speaking of apps, before you identify the ones that are taking up too much space you can get rid of the ones you don’t need anymore. Take a look at the apps you have and if you see that you haven’t used in quite some time or you can’t even remember when you installed them, it’s time to get rid of them. So, you’ve gotten rid of those unwanted apps but it still hasn’t made much of a difference. To identify the storage hogging apps go to your phone’s settings -> Storage and then tap on Apps. Then tap on the menu button on the top right and select sort by size.
