How to Turn Off Availability of Upwork account

Then click on Settings.
Click on My Profile.
Next to the Available now indicator, click on the pencil icon.

How to Set Upwork Profile to Private
If your profile is set to public, then it is available to the general public, Upwork’s marketplace, as well as on Google and other search engines, in short, all over the web. By making it private, only prior clients with whom you have worked and to whom you have submitted a proposal will be able to see your profile. Go to Profile Settings.
Under the Visibility drop-down menu, select Private.
