Nova Launcher basically replaces your original home screen with your customized screen, allowing you to hide certain apps on your device. 3 Ways to Hide Apps on Android Without Root NOVA LAUNCHER APEX LAUNCHER CALCULATOR VAULT: APP HIDER – HIDE APPS
FREE VERSION This version has an ingenious way of preventing people from knowing that you use a particular app. It does not actually hide the app from the app drawer, instead, it renames it in the app drawer so that no one can identify it. To use this app, 1.Install Nova Launcher from Play Store. 2.Restart your phone and select Nova Launcher as your Home app. 3.Now go to the app drawer and long press on the app that you want to hide.
4.Tap on the ‘Edit’ option from the list. 5.Type a new app label that you want to use as the name for this app from now on. Type a common name that won’t grab much attention.
6.Also, tap on the icon to change it. 7.Now, tap on ‘Built-in’ to choose an app icon from those already existing on your phone or tap on ‘Gallery apps’ to select an image.
8.Once you are done, tap on ‘Done’. 9.Now your app’s identity has been changed and no-one can find it. Note that even if someone searches for the app by its old name, it won’t appear in the search results. So you are good to go.
PRIME VERSION If you want to actually hide apps on Android without root (instead of renaming) then you can buy the pro version of Nova Launcher. 1.Install Nova Launcher Prime version from Play Store. 2.Restart your phone and allow any required permissions. 3.Go to the app drawer and open Nova Settings. 4.Tap on ‘App and widget drawers’.
5.At the bottom of the screen, you will find an option for ‘Hide apps’ under the ‘Drawer groups’ section.
6.Tap on this option to select one or more apps that you want to hide.
7.Now you hidden app(s) will not be visible in the app drawer. This is the easiest way using which you can Hide Apps on Android Without Root, but if some reason this doesn’t work for you or you doesn’t like the interface then you can try the Apex Launcher to hide apps.

This is yet another extremely useful application to hide apps on Android without rooting the phone. Note that this app is not a launcher. The Calculator Vault is an easy to use app and what it does is really amazing. Now, this app hides your apps by cloning them into its own vault so that you can delete the original app from your device. The app you want to hide will now stay in the vault. Not just that, this app is also capable of hiding itself (You wouldn’t want someone to find out you are using app hider, would you?). So what it does is that this app appears in your default launcher as a ‘Calculator’ app. When someone opens the app, all they see is a calculator, which is actually a fully functional calculator. However, on pressing a particular set of keys (your password), you will be able to go to the actual app. To use this app, 1.Install Calculator Vault from Play Store. 2.Launch the app. 3.You will be asked to enter a 4 digit password for the app.
4.Once you type the password, you will be taken to a calculator like a screen where you have to enter the password which you have set in the previous step. Every time you want to access this app, you will have to type in this password.
5.From here you will be taken to App Hider vault. 6.Click on Import Apps button.
7.You will be able to see the list of apps on your device sorted alphabetically. 8.Select one or more apps you want to hide. 9.Click on ‘Import Apps’. 10.The app will be added to this vault. You will be able to access the app from here. Now, you can delete the original app from your device.
